Creative Wedding Assignment!

I dont usually shoot weddings, and in this case I did not shoot the wedding, (Wedding photos by Nelson Santos Photography) but the Bride and Groom were using a Theater as their venue to get married and came up with a great idea to re-create their favorite movie posters to decorate the lobby with! Gina was a model I had worked with before and the two of them (Pat and Gina) were amazing to work with . so much fun!

A dream assignment!

I was given the album artwork and the challenge to make it come alive for Dee's Debut concert for "Leave a Scar" and subsequent venues.(Thank you Danny Stanton!) I was also on the crew and main cam with Steve Sage Productions documenting the concert for Metaldepartment.com !

There is Beauty in every part of the flow of life...

Even when you are feeling disconnected and unfocused, and all seems to be sinking, there is beauty in the dance of the flow.
You can find that beauty in the awareness that you are a unique being and perception in an infinite landscape of perceptions, and just as significant as any other perception. Even more significant, as this perception IS you, and everything.

When your influences come out...

It's easy to see the H.R. Giger influence in these images,

but for me there is also an evident M.C. Escher flavor coming through.

When Love is in the air, Magic Happens

My amazing and beautiful friend Kristina called me one day and told me about a young gent with a motorcycle, that was asking her to model for him.

He wanted to get photos of her along side of his bike for the Anti-Drug foundation MICHAELS HOPE he had created in his brothers name.

They just needed a photographer....

When we all got together, there was an immediate energy in the air.

A creative, excited, loving energy.

We had an amazing photoshoot at Kings Park Bluff and Psychiatric Hospital, but the story is only beginning there......

You see.., Paul had a bit of a crush on Kristina....

And why not? She is Beautiful , Radiant and Incredible (Most of my friends are, intentionally)

But he barely knew her.

Turns out , Paul is a pretty amazing guy as well, and as we all relaxed over a beer after the shoot, I became witness to a new seed of love being planted, that would grow into an incredible relationship between two great souls.

Fast forward a few years and BAM. Engagement Shoot.

Tribute Photos for a Tribute Band

When New Divide came to me for promotional photos, it only seemed fitting that as a tribute to Linkin Park, the photos should also emulate the band. We looked at a bunch of Linkin Park photos and were able to find the common threads in order to emphasize the whole experience of the tribute.

Using a projector as a light source.

After seeing a few images online that had been done with projected images, I decided I wanted to put my own spin on it and see what it was about. It is always an experiment , not knowing how certain projections will fall across a body or what it will look like, but as i shoot more and more, i am able to control the results and shape my images the way I see them!

An immersive experience built around the idea of photographing real fear.

Smile for the camera:

Immersive experience writer Will Puntarich from SHOCK THEATER created the idea that an immersive experience can be creative.

The idea came about after viewing instagram communities of insta-models and insta-photographers.

The idea behind the experience is this:

"Models" come to a photo-shoot expecting to recreate movie scenes, but never expect what happens next, in order to keep the fear real.

The participants then begin a surreal experience, never knowing what situation is real or not.

After randomly meeting Carrie Wicks at 89 North (a great venue in Patchogue), I knew I wanted to work with her.

Shortly after, I was hired to shoot a video for them at The Paramount in Huntington.

I agreed to help her with some promo photos. and she agreed to help me with the Projector.Project!

I would say we both got more than our money's worth! :)
